Above, both trucks are pulled up to the front of the house on moving day. We rented the biggest Uhaul available and Steve Evans loaned Don a 26 ft. 6 speed diesel truck with power lift gate. The Uhaul was junk, but the Banner Mack truck worked out great. Both trucks were loaded in one day. We left Evansville on Thursday Morning and arrived in Coral Springs 1,100 miles later Friday evening.
Kevin Banning, our neighbor for many years came over to help load the U haul truck with hundreds of boxes. Thanks for your help Kevin.
My brother Jeff also helped. Jeff moved a ton of stuff. He did a great job stacking boxes. Nothing fell, settled or broke during the long haul down to Florida. This picture shows how hard this guy worked. He worked all day long. Thanks Jeff, we owe you.
Brenda's best friend Angie Wooton came by and brought us a house warming present. Look at these two. They could be sisters. Thanks Angie, hope Brenda has saved some of the stuff for me when I arrive December 22nd.
Kyle's buddy, Jeff Wedding came along to help move and help drive the 5 vehicles that made the trip. Thanks Jeff, you were a great help and were always available when needed. One we arrived around 5:00pm on Friday, the trucks were quickly unloaded. Both trucks were unloaded by 9:30 pm.
On Saturday, Jennifer Radice came by the house to welcome us to Florida and to bring us this house warming present. Jennifer an agent with Coldwell Banker found us the house. Thanks Jennifer.
Saturday, Dad was busy cutting the grass and Sunday before we left, he was busy power washing the pool deck. Brenda did wash that shirt Saturday afternoon by the way. Thanks Dad, you were great! After working all morning at the house on Saturday, unpacking and setting up furniture, we left for nearby Deerfield Beach for some rest and relaxation. Here dad and Frank do some people watching.
We landed in the Whale's Rib bar and restaurant in Deerfield Beach for some well earned food and refreshments. Kent Banning is showing off the second half of his whale sandwich.
Jeff Wedding, Kyle and Kent Banning get up the nerve to hit the water. Saturday, the water temperature was about 81 degrees and the air temperature was 80 degrees F, just perfect for a romp in the waves.
