Our Dogs make up a big part of our life.

Feeding, grooming and making sure they have a happy life.  In return they offer us love and companionship.

Four of the six dogs showed up for this picture.

Here we are at the beach.  These dogs have never seen such a big body of water.  They were a bit nervous.

Memorial:  Our baby (2 year pug shih-tzu mix) died after a short illness in April of 2006.  We were devastated from the loss.  She created so much chaos with the rest of the clan.

We miss you Lola!

Chaos has been restored.

After Lola died, a new dog was found.

Here is Nigel.

Nigel likes to play fetch.   He also enjoys stealing the other dogs toys.

Brenda found Nigel at a Shih-Tzu and dog rescue.  He was adopted as a 1 year old .  He was put in a rescue by his former owner who did not want him anymore.

Nigel fit in with the rest of the Pack.  He has more energy than the other two small breeds likely due to his young age.  Goody tries to impress him in the back yard with his romps as he tears up the turf doing turns.  Although Nigel is not the biggest dog, he is the Alpha Male now that he has matured.

He thinks couches are for sissies or the old dog.

More to follow on Nigel and his progress.

Goody -

Goody, our 11 year old retired racing Greyhound.

Born October 1997

Retired on November 8, 2001.

Memorial: Chloe, our 15 year old Shih Tzu died early in 2004 shortly after moving to Florida.  We miss her.

After Chloe died there was something missing, so Brenda and the kids went to the Animal Shelter and rescued this puppy.  They named her Lola.  During her mischievous short time with us, we called her everything else but Lola....one of her nicknames was Boof.

We lost Lola in April 2006.  She died at the animal hospital in Brenda's arms, after a short but critical illness and several days of treatments to try and save her.  She was just 2 years old.

Elvis found his way into our home.  He was lost.  Considerable efforts were made to find his owner.  He found a new home and has it made with lots of dogs to be his buddies.   Elvis found out that life in this house required him to be neutered.  Something he probably didn't sign up for.  Elvis is a large and strong Chihuahua and is constantly defending his title as the new Alpha Male.

As you can see in the picture above, Elvis has radar.

Eden - Another dog adopted from the Shih-tzu Rescue.  This is one very submissive and sweet dog.  While Brenda was volunteering at the Shih-tzu Rescue she saw Eden, and she begged to bring her home.  We all fell in love with her.

Brenda says she has found her special purpose.  Brenda volunteers for the Shih-Tzu Rescue.  She maintains the Shih-Tzu Rescue Web Site and loves adopting and finding homes for unfortunate dogs.

Yep, a cat has adopted us.  He is sweet <for a cat>  We call him Mr. Kitty.

Originally he played outside during the day and was locked in the garage each night to keep him safe from predators.  He occasionally roams the yard in the day when we are home.  He now lives in Kyle's room and loves the life of an indoor cat.  He can't roam the house because the dogs won't leave him alone.  Even though Brenda is allergic to cats, she loves Mr. Kitty.
